Based on our showings last season, we propose to keep the format the same - so doors and the Bar open at 7:00pm, for a film start time of 7:30pm. We shall break for an interval around halfway through the film, and will re-open the bar. We will continue to put out tables and chairs in the Hall - as that seems to work well. As always, when the film ends, we welcome any support in putting away the tables and chairs, but ask that everyone then leaves promptly, so that we can clean up and put away the sound equipment.

We are going to keep the costs the same as for last couple of years, so an annual fee of £30 per person for a six month membership, and a temporary fee of £7.50 for single evenings. If you would like to join, you may pay by bank transfer to:

Our opening film for 3 October will be ‘The Choral’, - As WW1 rages on, the Choral Society in a small English Town has lost most of its men to the army. The Choral’s committee is determined to press ahead with new recruits. They engage a driven new chorus master, Dr Henry Guthrie - recently returned from a career in Germany. As conscription papers start to arrive, the community discovers that the best response to the war is to make music together. Ralph Fiennes stars.
